Meet Our Directors

As GA Electrical goes from strength to strength, we welcome 3 new directors to the team.

Carl Vink - Managing Director

Being a car enthusiast, Carl was delighted to start his career with the "Rover" car plant in Oxford, the first of a new breed of combined Mechanical and Electrical engineers, he successfully completed a 4 year Apprenticeship and began employment for BMW as part of the team overseeing the Electrical infrastructure for the new Mini in Oxford.  From an early age Carl was interested in fitness and weight training and progressed to bodybuilding in 1997 before becoming a British Champion in 2001.

Having a natural flair for project management and looking for a change in industry, contracting seemed like a logical step and so in 2000 Carl joined GA Electrical, then a small family run business.  Starting as a Project Manager he soon helped to grow the business and became a director in 2003.  From 2004 Carl's main aim was to continue with expanding the business by offering its clients a level of service and professionalism unheard of from an Electrical Contractor which paid dividends as by late 2009 the turnover had tripled.  In 2010 Carl became Managing Director of GA Electrical and remains an integral part of the team, heavily involved in business development and ensuring GA Electrical continues to deliver the service its customers deserve.

Adam Brumby - Pre-Construction Director

Adam joined GA Electrical in 2005 as a Trainee Contracts Manager having completed his Electrical Apprenticeship and starting his career with a previous employer.  Successfully completing a wide range of commercial contracts for 5 years, in 2010 he completed a HNC in Contract Management and then, having a natural flair for detail and great success negotiating projects it was natural progression to become GA Electrical's Estimating Manager in 2010, before being made a Company Director in 2011.  Adam's role is key to business growth and he has ultimate responsibility for all  quotations and budgets for a wide variety of projects, ranging from fully specified to complete design and build projects.  To ensure a smooth transition from tender to project build, Adam stays close to the majority of projects alongside the Contracts Team, assisting in the contract design, procurement and quantity surveying.  With Adam's extensive experience in electrical system installation and contracts management, he has a full understanding of the complete process, from project tender to project completion, ensuring that our tenders are accurate and "all-encompassing".

Chris Eldridge - Contracts Director

Chris has been employed within the Electrical Industry since 1986.  He started his career traditionally after securing an Electrical Apprenticeship with a local family run business, before progressing to work for a large Oxford based company where he eventually worked as a Site Foreman working for clients such as Thames & Southern Water.

Keen for a new challenge, Chris joined GA Electrical in 2004 as a Projects Manager overseeing contracts for local builders and main contractors.  Over the years his responsibilities and input into the Company have increased and as a result his current role is Contracts Director.  Chris services a range of key clients from both the public and private sectors and takes overall responsibility for making sure all projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards.  Chris is also GA Electrical's Labour Manager and has developed a highly skilled team of Site Managers, Electricans and Apprentices which he is very proud of.  A keen sports enthusiast, Chris currently manages a youth football team in his spare time as well as playing Squash and Golf.

Glenn Dearlove - Director of Small Works Department

Glenn started with GA Electrical as an Apprentice at the age of 18 and flew through 4 years of training with flying colours.  After gaining experience on larger projects Glenn found his niche within the Small Works Team, carrying out reactive work and maintenance projects, gaining a wealth of experience that helped him progress to Small Works Manager.  Since taking on the role Glenn has grown the Small Works Team from three to seven engineers and it continues to go from strength to strength.

Glenn was made a Director in 2011 and continues to manage and grow the Small Works Team servicing a range of clients from homeowners, builders and local schools and buisnesses.  A keen sportsman, Glenn is delighted to be playing first team rugby for Wallingford.
